The EPC Trnovlje – South project is aimed at the development and expansion of the existing economic-business zone on vacant, usable land. It seeks to create conditions for further specialization of the EPC, enhance the competitiveness of businesses within the zone, and establish a high-value business ecosystem.
As part of the infrastructure development and municipal servicing of undeveloped areas, two connecting roads will be constructed in EPC Trnovlje – South: one 180 meters long and the other 270 meters long. Additionally, the project includes the installation of public lighting, construction of a water supply system and stormwater drainage, pedestrian walkways, and other necessary infrastructure. The total development and expansion area of the EPC will cover 6.26 hectares.
The Municipality of Celje successfully applied for funding under the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology’s call for "Support for Innovative Ecosystems of Economic-Business Infrastructure." As a result, the project is eligible to receive up to €1.3 million in non-repayable EU funds from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) mechanism.
